Crazy quilting is really a form of fabric collage. This beautiful quilt was pieced together with irregularly shaped scraps of fabric using a variety of embroidery stiches to weave in the family history.

Around the World

Made by: Rosemary Lemieux

I started embroidering my quilt 1994. I saw the pattern in the newspaper and sent for it. it cost $2.00 for the pattern. I did Scotland first. I wanted to make the different counteries in the proper colours of that country. I looked up each country to see what the colours were of thier Native costume was. It took one to two months to do each country depending on the amount of work I was doing.

Dionne Quintuplets

Tea Room

Made in 1938 by Rita Cox

Owned by: Fran Michelutti

On May 28, 1934 between the hours of three and six in the morning there was born to a farmer's wife in the backwoods of Northern Ontario, five identical baby girls (quintuplets). The event can properly be called a miracle. The children's names were Emilie, Annette, Marie, Cecile, and Yvonne. The names can be found on the bonnets of the quilt.
